Mayoral Advisor Bob King Travels to Dakar, Senegal

Mayoral Advisor Bob King Travels to Dakar, SenegalBob King, an advisor to Mayor Williams on Senior Affairs, traveled to Dakar, Senegal on May 2, 2005, carrying a letter of greetings from the Mayor to Mayor Diop of Dakar. During his visit, he traveled to Goree Island, visited the US Embassy, and was received by Mayor Diop in City Hall. There he presented gifts from Mayor Williams. Mayor Diop and his Secretary General and Technology Chief met with Mr. King and discussed the current Sister City Agreement between DC and Dakar, and talked about how it could be moved forward. They also discussed Mayor Williams’ upcoming trip to Africa and offered their support.
