DC Submits Quarter Dollar Designs to the US Mint

View the Three Narrative Submissions
The District of Columbia has submitted three narratives to designers at the US Mint describing what should be represented on the back of our quarter dollar coin.   According to the process laid out by the US Mint,  the District government was charged with creating these narratives for submission by February 25, 2008.

Mayor Adrian Fenty invited residents to submit ideas and comments to the District of Columbia Quarter Design Advisory Committee*.   After reviewing hundreds of suggestions, the Committee decided on the top three appropriate designs.  The DC quarter is set to be the first one issued in 2009.
