The Closest Notary Public Is Just a Click Away

The Office of the Secretary of the District of Columbia is pleased to announce that the Office of Notary Commissions and Authentications and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer recently launched a new interactive mapping system that allows online searches for Washington, DC notaries public.

This searchable online map gives the public greater access to local notaries, and increases each notary’s visibility and ability to expand their service to the community.

“The Fenty administration is the first to develop a comprehensive electronic database of District notaries public, and to offer such a system to the public,” said Stephanie Scott, Secretary of the District of Columbia.  “I appreciate the feedback of the public and the notaries as we continue to introduce enhancements and new functions within this division of our agency,” Scott stated.
